AP CM Chandrababu Naidu Makes Key Statement on National Highway Projects

CM Chandrababu Naidu Upset Over Delays in National Highway Projects

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in National Highway construction works. He questioned why there is still slow progress even though all necessary permissions are being granted on time and there are no major obstacles. He clearly stated that all NH projects must be completed within the deadline.

During a review meeting held at the Velagapudi Secretariat, the CM spoke with officials and contractors regarding the status of ongoing highway projects. He warned that if the contractors continue to delay the works, he would recommend blacklisting them by the central government.

He particularly expressed displeasure over the delay in the Koduru Cross - Kadapa - Muppavaram package of the Bengaluru - Kadapa - Vijayawada NH project and other similar packages that are progressing slowly. He made it clear that no more delays will be tolerated. The CM also enquired about the problems contractors are facing and directed officials to resolve issues related to land acquisition, forest, and wildlife clearances by July.
