NTR Bharosa Scheme: 71,380 Spouse Pensions Approved

The coalition government in Andhra Pradesh is currently providing social security pensions under the NTR Bharosa scheme for elderly people and persons with disabilities. Recently, the government approved new pensions for spouses under this scheme.

Under the NTR Bharosa scheme, 71,380 new spouse pensions have been sanctioned. This rule ensures that if a pension holder passes away, their spouse will start receiving the pension from the next month. This policy has been in place since November 1, 2023.

Applications for spouse pensions were accepted from December 1, 2023, to October 31, 2024. After reviewing these applications, 71,380 people were found eligible.

Each approved beneficiary will receive a monthly pension of ₹4,000. To mark one year of the coalition government on June 12, the pensions will start being distributed across the state from that day.

Eligible women should visit their village or ward secretariat with important documents, such as their husband’s death certificate and their Aadhaar card. If the documents are submitted by the end of the month, the pension will be paid from the following month.
