Sonakshi Sinha's 'Nikita Roy' Release Postponed, Now Set to Hit Theatres in June

Sonakshi Sinha’s Psychological Thriller 'Nikita Roy' to Release on June 27, 2025

Mumbai, May 29: Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha's upcoming psychological thriller "Nikita Roy and The Book of Darkness" has a new release date. The film, directed by her brother Kussh Sinha, will now hit theatres on June 27, 2025.

Sonakshi announced the update on her Instagram, saying,
"Mark your calendars! Our edge-of-the-seat thriller ‘Nikita Roy’ now has a new release date! Catch the suspense unfold on the big screen on 27th June 2025!"

The film was earlier scheduled for release on May 30, but the makers haven’t revealed the reason for the delay.

Produced by Nicky Bhagnani, Vicky Bhagnani, and Ankur Takrani under the banner Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films, in association with Kratos Entertainment and Nikita Pai Films, the movie also stars Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal, and Suhail Nayyar.

It is co-produced by Anand Mehta, Prakash Nand Bijlani, Shakti Bhatnagar, Mehnaaz Shaikh, and Prem Raj Joshi.

The film's shoot wrapped up in London after a 35-day schedule in March 2025.
Sonakshi shared her experience, saying,
“It was very special for me because it’s my brother’s first film as a director. Working with talented actors like Paresh ji was an honour. The shoot was challenging but fun.”

Meanwhile, Sonakshi is also preparing for her Tollywood debut in a supernatural fantasy thriller titled “Jatadhara”, directed by Venkat Kalyan. The film stars Sudheer Babu in the lead, along with Shilpa Shirodkar, Rain Anjali, and Divya Vij.
