Ayodhya Real Estate Boom: Land Prices Soar After Ram Temple Construction

Ayodhya, June 2025:
After the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, land prices in the area have risen sharply. Officials say that land prices within 10 kilometers of the temple have increased by 30% to 200%. This is the first time in eight years that such a big price hike has happened.

The new land rates will be effective from June 7th, according to local authorities.

The Sub Registrar of Faizabad, Shanti Bhushan Chaubey, said that the revised land prices were approved and implemented after getting permission from the district magistrate. Areas like Rakabganj and Dev Kali are seeing significant price rises.

Due to Ayodhya’s importance as a spiritual and tourist destination, property prices around the Ram Temple have gone up from about Rs. 6,650 to Rs. 6,975 per square meter to Rs. 26,600 to Rs. 27,900 per square meter.

Prices vary based on land use categories like residential, commercial, and agricultural.

Real estate expert Vivek Agarwal said that while higher land prices will increase stamp duty costs, landowners will benefit from the rise in official land values.
