Unstable Weather in Telangana: Sudden Break in Monsoon, Intense Heat Returns

The weather in Telangana has taken an unusual turn. The southwest monsoon, which arrived earlier than expected, has suddenly stalled. As a result, the anticipated rainfall has paused, and summer-like conditions have returned to many parts of the state.

According to the Meteorological Department, daytime temperatures in several areas are rising 2 to 4 degrees above normal, with some places recording between 38°C and 40°C. The heatwave is expected to continue for the next 2 to 3 days. However, light evening showers accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds may occur in isolated areas.

Experts say that the monsoon is likely to resume movement after June 10, bringing more widespread rains. They also clarified that temporary pauses during monsoon progression are normal and not a cause for concern.

During the day, people can expect hot and humid conditions, while nights may be relatively cooler. Sudden rain showers in the evening hours, along with lightning and thunder, are also likely. Farmers remain hopeful that the second week of June will bring consistent rainfall, creating favorable conditions for agricultural activities.
