Telangana Weather Alert: Heavy Rainfall for Next Four Days

Telangana is facing heavy rainfall once again as a low-pressure system over the northwest Bay of Bengal is extending over the state up to Odisha. The Meteorological Department has issued warnings for the next four days. Already, several areas have received heavy rains, causing disruption to daily life. Rivers and streams are overflowing, and low-lying areas are waterlogged.

The Hyderabad Weather Center reported that the low-pressure area and its associated surface circulation extend up to 7.5 km above sea level. A trough stretches from Odisha through Telangana to the Bay of Bengal.

Another low-pressure area may form in the north Bay of Bengal on September 25, potentially turning into a cyclonic circulation by September 26 near the Andhra Pradesh coast. This could result in heavy to very heavy rainfall across Telangana over the next four days.
