AP Government Releases Rs. 250 Crore for Network Hospitals

The Andhra Pradesh government released Rs. 250 crore on Wednesday night for pending dues of Dr. NTR Vaidya Seva affiliated (network) hospitals. The pending payments had led private hospitals in the state to consider stopping NTR Vaidya Seva services, which was affecting economically weaker sections.

Following discussions between Health Minister Dr. Satyakumar Yadav and Finance Minister P. Keshav Payyavula regarding the fund disbursement, the government cleared the path for releasing the funds.

Additionally, the Health Department Secretary Saurabh Gaur stated that another Rs. 250 crore will be released soon. He urged representatives of the Andhra Pradesh Super Specialty Hospitals Association and other organizations to ensure uninterrupted medical services for patients. The government also requested the management associations to immediately withdraw any ongoing protests.
