The Andhra Pradesh Water Resources Department has taken a key step to expedite the Polavaram–Banakacharla Link Project by initiating the process to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR).

A tender notice has been issued to select an experienced consultancy firm for the DPR preparation with an estimated cost of ₹9.20 crore.

As per the tender, the selected consultancy will be responsible for preparing the DPR according to Central Water Commission (CWC) guidelines, obtaining necessary approvals from the Central Government, and completing all related processes.

Officials have advised that only technically qualified and experienced consultancies should participate, considering the project’s importance.
