AP Govt: Green Signal for Recruitment of 4,687 Anganwadi Helper Posts

AP Govt Approves Recruitment for 4,687 Anganwadi Helpers

The Andhra Pradesh government has taken a key decision to further strengthen Anganwadi services across the state. It has given the green signal to recruit 4,687 Anganwadi Helper posts in the mini Anganwadi centers that were recently upgraded into full-fledged Anganwadi centers.

On Friday, the Women and Child Welfare Department issued orders directing officials to immediately begin the recruitment process. A notification for these posts is expected to be released soon.

To ease the workload on Anganwadi workers and improve services, each upgraded center will now have one helper. The minimum qualification is likely to be Class 10 pass.

At the same time, the government has also announced promotions for 4,687 Mini Anganwadi Workers, who will now be recognized as full-fledged Anganwadi workers. Their monthly honorarium has been increased to ₹11,500.

With both new recruitments and promotions, officials believe that Anganwadi services in Andhra Pradesh will become more efficient and effective.
