The highly successful ‘Kantara’ directed by Rishab Shetty is returning with its prequel, ‘Kantara Chapter 1’, and the Andhra Pradesh government has given a green signal for its premiere show. The premiere is scheduled for October 1 at 10 PM, a day before the official release on October 2.
Additionally, the government has approved a ticket price hike across the state from October 2 to October 11. According to the government order, tickets for single-screen theaters can be priced up to ₹75, and for multiplexes up to ₹100 (GST extra). These rates also apply to premiere shows.
The production house Hombale Films expressed gratitude to the Andhra Pradesh government, specifically thanking Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, and Minister Kandula Durgesh. Considering recent challenges faced by Telugu films in Karnataka, Pawan Kalyan responded positively, emphasizing that national interests should take precedence over regional sentiments. The government’s approval for the premiere show and ticket price hike has brought joy to the film team.
