VIJAYAWADA: On Tuesday, the State BJP convened a meeting with its MPs, MLAs, and ministers to discuss the upcoming party membership drive, set to begin on September 1. The meeting, held at the residence of State BJP President and Rajamahendravaram MP D. Purandeswari, was also attended by BJP National Joint General Secretary (Organization) Shiv Prakash.
After the meeting, Purandeswari addressed the media, criticizing the YSRC's response to its general election loss, which included questioning the validity of the votes. She expressed confidence that the BJP’s membership drive would achieve greater success this time compared to previous efforts. Earlier that day, Purandeswari and Shiv Prakash met with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at his camp office.
