Prime Minister Narendra Modi will speak at the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting on Tuesday, during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament. This is the first official gathering of NDA leaders in this session and will take place at the Parliament complex in New Delhi. All MPs from the BJP and its alliance partners must attend.
The meeting is being held at a critical time, just two days before the nomination process begins for the Vice-President election on August 7. Since NDA has a majority in the electoral college, selecting their candidate is expected to be smooth. The official announcement of the NDA candidate may come by August 21, the last date for nominations.
PM Modi will also be honoured in the meeting for the successful Operation Sindoor — a counter-terrorism mission launched after the Pahalgam terror attack. He is expected to speak about national security, the operation’s success, and the political issues affecting Parliament.
The Monsoon Session has seen frequent protests from the Opposition, especially regarding the Election Commission's revision of voter lists in Bihar. PM Modi is expected to answer these criticisms and share the NDA’s future legislative plans.
