Jubilee Hills By-Election: Unemployed Youth’s Strategy to Defeat Congress

The ruling Congress government in Telangana is facing growing anger from unemployed youth. Alleging failure in job recruitment, the Unemployed JAC (Joint Action Committee) has announced a unique protest plan ahead of the Jubilee Hills by-election — filing 1,000 nominations to defeat the Congress candidate.

A protest was held at Osmania University on Monday under the leadership of the Unemployed JAC. JAC Chairman Kandarapalli Kashinath said, “The Congress came to power promising two lakh jobs but has failed to issue even a single recruitment notification. It has betrayed the unemployed youth.” JAC Vice Chairman Bhukya Kumar and General Secretary R.K. Vannar Chola also participated in the protest.

Meanwhile, an all-party meeting was held at Somajiguda Press Club to discuss alleged irregularities in the Group-1 exams. BRS leader Rakesh Reddy accused the government of complicating the recruitment process. Former MLA Guvvala Balaraj urged voters to defeat the Congress in the by-election, saying, “While Rahul Gandhi talks about vote theft across the nation, job theft is happening here in Telangana.” Leaders warned that any attempt by the government to suppress the unemployed movement would spark a stronger agitation.
