The Central Government has announced a new plan to make travel easier and cheaper for frequent users of national highways. This will help drivers who often face problems with paying toll taxes and recharging FASTag.

Under this plan, the government will introduce a FASTag pass system. Drivers can pay an annual fee of ₹3,000 to use national highways, expressways, and state expressways without any limits throughout the year.

There will be two payment options:

1. An annual pass costing ₹3,000 that allows unlimited travel on toll roads for a year.

2. A distance-based pass where drivers pay ₹50 for every 100 kilometers traveled.

Importantly, no extra documents will be needed to avail this scheme.
