‘Jailer 2’ Shooting to Complete by December: Rajinikanth

Superstar Rajinikanth informed the media in Chennai that the shooting of Jailer 2 is progressing rapidly and is expected to be completed by December this year. Speaking to reporters while leaving Chennai airport on Thursday, he said, “The shooting is going well, and the film will be completed by December.”

Directed by Nelson, Jailer 2 carries huge expectations due to the massive success of the first part. The original Jailer collected nearly ₹650 crores worldwide and was a blockbuster hit, raising excitement among fans for this sequel.

Produced by Sun Pictures, the action entertainer began filming on March 10 in Chennai, with some important scenes shot in Attappadi, Kerala. Ramya Krishnan is playing Rajinikanth’s wife, Viji, while Mirnaa Menon, who played his daughter-in-law in the first part, will have a bigger role this time. Anirudh Ravichander, who composed the hit soundtrack of the first film, is returning as the music director. Reports also suggest Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar and Malayalam superstar Mohanlal are part of the cast, though official announcements are awaited.
