Heavy Inflow into Srisailam Reservoir from Sunkesula and Jurala Projects
The Srisailam Reservoir is receiving a steady rise in flood inflow due to continuous rains in the upstream areas. Currently, 83,242 cusecs of water are flowing in from the Jurala and Sunkesula projects, while the outflow from Srisailam stands at 98,676 cusecs.
From the Pothireddypadu Head Regulator, 35,000 cusecs of water are being released. The Left Bank Powerhouse is discharging 35,315 cusecs, and the Right Bank Powerhouse is releasing 28,361 cusecs.
The full reservoir level (FRL) of the Srisailam Project is 885 feet, but the present water level is at 878.90 feet. The total storage capacity is 215.80 TMC feet, and the current storage is recorded at 182.21 TMC feet.
