Srisailam Project Flood: Inflow 2,69,429 cusecs, Outflow 3,48,492 cusecs

Due to heavy rainfall in upstream areas, the Srisailam Reservoir is experiencing renewed flood inflow. As of Monday morning, the reservoir recorded an inflow of 2,69,429 cusecs and an outflow of 3,48,492 cusecs. Authorities have opened ten gates to release water downstream to manage the high flood discharge.

According to the water release details, 30,000 cusecs were released through the Pothireddipadu Head Regulator, 35,315 cusecs via the Left Bank Power House, 30,311 cusecs via the Right Bank Power House, and 2,52,866 cusecs through the 10 spillway gates.

Currently, the water level in the Srisailam Reservoir stands at 883.50 feet, just below the full capacity of 885 feet. The reservoir has a storage capacity of 215.81 TMCs, with 207.41 TMCs of water currently stored.
