Kandula Durgesh: Important Update on Akhanda Godavari Project
Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh shared an important update about the Akhanda Godavari Project. Speaking to the media yesterday in Rajamahendravaram, he announced that the foundation stone for the Akhanda Godavari Project will be laid in the first week of June by Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and MP Daggubati Purandeswari.
He stated that the works related to the sacred Godavari Pushkaralu would be completed on time. Durgesh also mentioned that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Akhanda Godavari Project has been thoroughly prepared, and he had a meeting with the Union Tourism Minister, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, regarding the project. The tender process for some parts of the project has already been completed, the minister added.
He further revealed that tenders for the Gandikota Project in YSR Kadapa district have been finalized, and work will commence soon. The minister said that Gandikota would be developed as the "Grand Canyon of India." Additionally, steps are being taken to further develop Bapatla’s Suryalanka Beach, which is expected to become a national tourism center, Minister Durgesh said.
