Nara Lokesh Announces ₹82,000 Crore Investment for Andhra Pradesh

After a gap of five years, ReNew Power has returned to Andhra Pradesh with a massive investment of ₹82,000 crore. Andhra Pradesh IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh announced this big news on X (Twitter), marking a major milestone for the new coalition government aiming to attract large-scale investments to the state.

ReNew, one of India’s leading renewable energy companies, will invest in solar ingot and wafer manufacturing, green hydrogen, and other advanced technology sectors. This move signals a strong comeback for the renewable energy industry in Andhra Pradesh.

Minister Lokesh expressed his pride, stating, “After a five-year break, ReNew is making a full-scale comeback to Andhra Pradesh with a ₹82,000 crore investment across the renewable energy value chain — from solar ingots to hydrogen production.”

ReNew Chairman Sumant Sinha and his team will attend the CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam, where Lokesh welcomed them warmly. Experts say this marks a significant boost to investor confidence and could transform Andhra Pradesh into a major hub for renewable energy in India, generating thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities.
