Narendra Modi to Visit Puttaparthi: Andhra Govt Deploys Special Officers

The Andhra Pradesh government has intensified arrangements ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Puttaparthi on the 19th of this month to participate in the Sri Sathya Sai Centenary Celebrations. To ensure smooth crowd management and uninterrupted transportation facilities for devotees, the government has appointed three IAS officers — Gopalakrishna, Govindarao, and Kalyan Chakravarthy — to oversee the arrangements. These officers will stay in Puttaparthi until the completion of the Prime Minister’s tour and coordinate all arrangements on the ground.

In addition, one Joint Collector from a nearby district and nine Deputy Collectors have been assigned additional responsibilities. Chief Secretary Vijayanand issued official orders regarding these appointments.

Meanwhile, a committee of ministers conducted a detailed review meeting on the preparations. Ministers Anagani Satyaprasad and Savita, along with centenary celebration nodal officers N.T. Krishnababu and Veerapandian, reviewed the arrangements at the PGPRS meeting hall in the Collectorate. With the President, Vice President and several dignitaries expected to participate in the centenary celebrations along with Prime Minister Modi, officials have been instructed to ensure foolproof arrangements.
