PM Modi to Visit Kurnool Tomorrow, All Set for ‘Super GST’ Meeting

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Kurnool and Nandyal districts on Thursday. During this visit, he will lay the foundation for 16 key projects worth approximately ₹13,429 crore aimed at boosting the development of the Rayalaseema region. Major projects include the Industrial Smart City, Drone City, and Kopparthi Industrial Park at Orvakallu.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate these projects at a massive public meeting titled 'Super GST - Super Savings,' set up near Nannuru Toll Plaza, on the outskirts of Kurnool. This is the first event in the country organized to raise awareness about GST 2.0. Chief Minister Chandrababu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, Minister Nara Lokesh, along with central and state ministers and coalition leaders, are expected to attend the program.

Before the public meeting, PM Modi will visit the Srisailam temple complex, performing special prayers at the Mallikarjuna Swamy, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, and at Bhramarambika Devi, one of the eighteen Shakti Peethas. He will also witness ancient copper inscriptions and ragi stalks displayed by the Archaeology Department.

Security arrangements are personally overseen by DGP Harish Kumar Gupta. Additional combing operations were conducted with central forces in the Nallamala forest area. A security cordon with 1,800 police personnel has been established at Srisailam alone. Due to security reasons, the temple area will remain closed from 6 AM to 2 PM on Thursday.
