Hyderabad Metro Gets Global Recognition at UITP Awards 2025
Hyderabad Metro Rail has received special recognition at the prestigious UITP 2025 Awards held in Hamburg, Germany. The metro was selected as one of the Top 5 finalists in the Operational Excellence category. Around 500 entries from public transport systems around the world were submitted, and L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Limited (L&TMRHL) stood out with its data-driven and efficient operations.

The award was given for the project titled "Optimized Metro Operation Plans Leading to Increased Revenue for Train". This project, done with support from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), focused on increasing revenue and efficiency through data-based planning. Due to this innovation, Hyderabad Metro was placed among the top 5 finalists globally in its category.
