India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was born on 14 November 1889. He was very fond of roses and loved children very much. Jawaharlal Nehru believed that children are the future of this country. Children can create miracles if they study well. It is said that the way we raise our children determines the future of the country.
But after the death of Jawaharlal Nehru in 1964, a resolution was passed in Parliament to honor him. His birthday was declared in Parliament as the official date of Children's Day. Earlier India celebrated Children's Day on November 20. Because the United Nations declared this day as Universal Children's Day in 1954. After this, Children's Day is celebrated in India to commemorate the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Nehru was fondly called Chacha Nehru by all the children. Hence today is a memorable day to commemorate the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India.

భారతదేశ మొదటి ప్రధానమంత్రి జవహర్‌లాల్ నెహ్రూ 1889 నవంబర్ 14న జన్మించారు. అతను గులాబీలను చాలా ఇష్టపడేవాడు, అలాగే పిల్లలను చాలా ప్రేమించేవారు. పిల్లలే ఈ దేశ భవిష్యత్తు అని జవహర్‌లాల్ నెహ్రూ నమ్మారు. పిల్లలు బాగా చదువుకుంటే అద్భుతాలు సృష్టించగలరు. పిల్లలను మనం పెంచే విధానం దేశ భవిష్యత్తును నిర్ణయిస్తుందని చెప్పేవారు.
అయితే 1964లో జవహర్‌లాల్ నెహ్రూ మరణానంతరం ఆయనను గౌరవించాలని పార్లమెంటులో తీర్మానం చేశారు. ఆయన పుట్టినరోజును బాలల దినోత్సవం అధికారిక తేదీగా పార్లమెంటులో ప్రకటించారు. ఇంతకు ముందు భారతదేశం నవంబర్ 20న బాలల దినోత్సవాన్ని జరుపుకునేది. ఎందుకంటే ఐక్యరాజ్యసమితి ఈ రోజును 1954లో సార్వత్రిక బాలల దినోత్సవంగా ప్రకటించింది. దీని తర్వాత భారతదేశంలో పండిట్ జవహర్‌లాల్ నెహ్రూ జన్మదినాన్ని పురస్కరించుకుని బాలల దినోత్సవాన్ని జరుపుకుంటారు. నెహ్రూను పిల్లలంతా ముద్దుగా చాచా నెహ్రూ అని పిలిచేవారు. అందుకే ఈ రోజు భారతదేశ మొదటి ప్రధానమంత్రి జయంతిని గుర్తుచేసుకునే ఒక చిరస్మరణీయమైన రోజు.
