IPL 2025: Jitesh Sharma’s 85 Leads RCB to Win Over LSG in Thrilling Match*

Lucknow, May 28: In an exciting IPL 2025 match at Ekana Stadium, stand-in captain Jitesh Sharma played a brilliant unbeaten innings of 85 runs to guide Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to a six-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Virat Kohli also contributed a valuable 54 runs as RCB successfully chased 228 runs in 18.4 overs.

Rishabh Pant had scored a fantastic unbeaten 118 for LSG, helping them post 227/3 in 20 overs. Despite Pant’s century, RCB chased the target with strong batting performances, especially from Jitesh Sharma, who hit eight boundaries and six sixes.

RCB started well with Phil Salt and Virat Kohli adding 61 runs for the first wicket. After Kohli’s dismissal, Jitesh Sharma took charge and played a powerful innings, hitting 85 runs off just 33 balls. His quick hitting included 21 runs in one over, sealing the victory for RCB.

This win helped RCB finish second in the points table, setting up a Qualifier 1 match against Punjab Kings. Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians will face off in the Eliminator.
