Virat Kohli Breaks Three Records in One IPL Match

In the final league match of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) convincingly. This win pushed RCB to second place in the points table. They will now face Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Qualifier 1 on May 29, with the winner going straight to the final.

Gujarat Titans (GT), who dropped to third after RCB’s win, will play Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Eliminator on May 30. The losing team of the Eliminator will be out of the tournament, and the winner will play Qualifier 2 against the loser of Qualifier 1.

RCB’s star player, Virat Kohli, had another outstanding performance against LSG, scoring 54 runs off 30 balls and breaking three records.

First, Kohli’s half-century was his 63rd in IPL history, the most by any player, surpassing David Warner’s 62.

Second, he crossed 9,000 runs for RCB, becoming the first player in IPL history to do so. Overall, he has 9,030 runs combining IPL and Champions League T20 innings. For comparison, Rohit Sharma has 6,060 runs for Mumbai Indians.
