NEET UG 2025 Exam Analysis: A Challenging Test with Tough Physics and Chemistry Questions!

The NEET 2025 entrance exam, conducted nationwide for admission to medical courses such as MBBS for the academic year 2025-26, concluded peacefully on Sunday (May 4). This year, 22.7 million students had registered for the NEET exam, with approximately 20.8 million appearing for the test, as reported by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam was held across more than 5,400 centers nationwide, including Telugu states, from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM on Sunday. The NTA ensured strict security measures, with no untoward incidents reported at any of the centers.

Notably, the exam was also conducted at 14 centers abroad. While the examination was largely peaceful across the country, some students faced issues with the biometric registration process at the exam centers and filed complaints with the NTA. Although the authorities announced that students could enter the centers from 11:00 AM, some continued arriving until 1:30 PM, the cutoff time for entry. Last year’s NEET exam saw massive issues with paper leaks, but this time, the NTA took extra precautions to prevent such incidents. The exam papers were securely transported to the centers, ensuring no leaks occurred.

The NEET 2025 exam paper was particularly challenging, especially in the Physics section, which reached JEE Mains-level difficulty. Experts noted that such questions were not typically covered in coaching institutes or mock tests. The Physics section contained no theory-based questions; instead, lengthy problems requiring detailed solutions were included, consuming significant time for students. In Chemistry, questions exceeded the NCERT standard, while Biology questions remained within the NCERT scope. Experts predict that the cutoff marks may significantly lower this year, with scoring a perfect 720 becoming almost impossible, given the difficulty of the paper. The results are expected to be announced on June 14.
