Operation Sindhoor: Indian Forces Strike Terror Camps in Pakistan and PoK
The Indian Armed Forces launched ‘Operation Sindhoor’, a major coordinated strike on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The operation, conducted in the early hours of Wednesday, destroyed a total of nine terror bases—four in Pakistan (including Bahawalpur, Muridke, Sialkot) and five in PoK.
This joint operation involved the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, using advanced and precise weapons. According to reliable sources, the strike targeted terrorist infrastructure supporting attacks on India, particularly those linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The Defence Ministry confirmed the success of the mission in an official statement.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi closely monitored the entire operation throughout the night. The mission was named ‘Sindhoor’ as a tribute to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack, where terrorists selectively killed people based on their names and religion. Traditionally, ‘Sindhoor’ is a red powder worn by married Hindu women, symbolizing love and protection. By naming the mission “Sindhoor,” India sent a message of justice, remembrance, and strength.
