Tourists Stranded at Sariya Waterfall in Andhra Pradesh

In Anakapalli district, Andhra Pradesh, 36 tourists were trapped at Sariya Waterfall due to sudden heavy rain and rising water levels. The group, from Visakhapatnam, had gone to visit the scenic spot when a sudden flood in the Sariya River left them stranded on the other side.

Upon learning about the incident, District Collector Vijayakrishnan and SP Thuhan Sinha immediately alerted revenue officials, police, and NDRF teams. The SP, along with Devarapalli SI Satyanarayana and fire service personnel, rushed to the location for rescue operations.

Rescue teams successfully brought all the stranded tourists to safety. Anakapalli DSP Shravani and K. Kotapadu CI Paidapunayudu arranged shelter and facilities for the tourists at Devarapalli. Officials praised the quick coordination that prevented any harm.
