Rayalaseema’s Industrial Growth Boosted by Big Investments: Nara Lokesh
Amaravati, June 27: Andhra Pradesh is seeing major progress in industrial growth, especially in Rayalaseema. State IT and Industries Minister Nara Lokesh announced that land has been allotted for Reliance Consumer Products Limited to set up a big beverage factory in Orvakal, Kurnool district. The project is worth ₹1,622 crore and will produce soft drinks, juices, and packaged water. It will also create 1,200 direct jobs for local people.
The Industries and Commerce Department officially issued the land allotment order. The construction of the unit will be completed by June 2026, and production will begin by the end of December 2026. Since this is a mega project, Reliance has requested special incentives, and the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) has approved the proposal.
At the same SIPB meeting chaired by CM N. Chandrababu Naidu on June 19, the board approved 19 projects worth ₹28,546 crore. These projects are expected to generate over 30,000 jobs. One more major project was also cleared – G. Infra Precisions Ltd will set up a factory in Anantapur to make bi-modular charge systems with ₹1,150 crore investment. The plant will begin work within 14 months and create jobs for 299 people.
