A tragic accident occurred in Maharashtra near Paranda railway station in Jalgaon district, claiming the lives of eight people.

The incident happened when passengers on the Pushpak Express panicked after hearing rumors of a fire on the train. In response, they pulled the emergency chain to stop the train and got down. While crossing the tracks, they were struck by the Karnataka Express, which was speeding on another track.
