PM Modi Wishes the Nation on Janmashtami, Calls It a Festival of Faith and Joy

New Delhi, Aug 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended warm wishes to the nation on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, calling it a sacred festival of faith, joy, and devotion.

“Heartfelt Janmashtami greetings to all countrymen. May this festival of faith and enthusiasm bring new energy and happiness into your lives. Jai Shri Krishna!” PM Modi posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also greeted the people, saying, “Hail Shri Krishna! The life of Lord Krishna, a symbol of righteousness and public welfare, inspires every Indian to follow the path of truth and duty.”

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh added, “Heartfelt greetings on Shri Krishna Janmashtami. May this festival infuse new energy and enthusiasm into everyone’s life.”

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami wrote, “On the birth celebration of Lord Krishna, the symbol of truth and justice, I pray for the happiness, health, and prosperity of all.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered prayers, saying, “I bow to Krishna, the universal teacher and supreme yogi. May the divine flute-player fill every life with love, compassion, and devotion, bringing welfare to all creation.”

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and the BJP’s official account also conveyed Janmashtami wishes, invoking blessings of Lord Krishna.
