There has been a significant decline in the number of Indian students going to the U.S. In August this year, student visas issued to Indian students dropped by 44.5% compared to last year. Strict policies by the Trump administration, visa cancellations, interview suspensions, and increased H-1B visa fees have heavily impacted Indian students.

On the other hand, France is attracting Indian students. The number of Indian students pursuing higher education in France has increased by 17% compared to last year. France aims to reach 30,000 Indian students by 2030. The ‘Choose France Tour-2025’ program is being conducted in Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai, with over 50 prominent French universities participating.
