Indian Passport: India's Passport Ranking Improves Globally!

Henley Passport Index 2025 Released – India Ranks 77th

The Henley Passport Index 2025 has been officially released. Singapore has secured the top position, allowing visa-free travel to 193 countries. This makes the Singapore passport the most powerful in the world.

India has shown slight improvement, moving up from 80th to 77th position compared to last year. The passport ranking is based on the number of countries that allow visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to passport holders. India’s passport now allows visa-free access to 59 countries, slightly lower than the 62 countries listed previously.

Countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Maldives, and Thailand allow Indian citizens to travel without a visa. Some countries such as Sri Lanka, Macau, and Myanmar offer visas on arrival. Meanwhile, Afghanistan is at the bottom of the list, with visa-free access to only 25 countries.
