CM Revanth Reddy Promises Better Working Conditions in the Film Industry

Hyderabad:
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said that the state government is ready to hold talks with cine workers to improve working conditions in the film industry. On Sunday, the CM met with several leading film producers and directors at his residence in Hyderabad.

Revanth Reddy emphasized that the working environment in Tollywood must improve and assured full government support. He mentioned that his intervention in the recent workers’ strike was aimed at protecting the industry’s atmosphere.

The CM suggested the creation of a corpus fund to improve skills across various fields in cinema and also expressed readiness to provide film-related training through Young India Skill University. He said the Telugu film industry already enjoys global recognition, but reforms in production practices and worker welfare are the need of the hour.

Urging producers to treat workers with compassion, he said a new film industry policy will be introduced in consultation with producers, workers, and the government. “Let us write a new chapter in Telugu cinema,” Revanth Reddy said, making it clear that the government will not tolerate dominance by a few individuals in the industry.

The CM also called for producing more Telugu films in Telangana, as Hyderabad has already become an international hub for filmmaking.

Key film personalities such as Allu Aravind, D. Suresh Babu, Dil Raju, DVV Danayya, Anil Sunkara, Abhishek Agarwal, Trivikram Srinivas, Boyapati Srinu, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Vamsi Paidipally, Anil Ravipudi, and others attended the meeting.
