CM Revanth Reddy: Telangana Will Not Compromise on Its River Water Rights

CM Revanth Reddy: No Compromise on Telangana's Water Rights in Godavari and Krishna

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that there will be no compromise in protecting the state’s fair share in Godavari and Krishna river waters. He made it clear that the government will continue to fight legally and politically to protect Telangana’s water rights.

Speaking at a presentation meeting about the Godavari–Banakacherla project proposed by Andhra Pradesh, Revanth Reddy strongly criticized former CM KCR and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy for failing to protect Telangana's interests. He alleged that KCR’s decisions in 2015 gave Andhra Pradesh unfair access to Godavari waters, which led to the current dispute.

Revanth Reddy also accused KCR and former minister Harish Rao of signing unfair agreements with Andhra. He challenged Harish Rao for a two-day debate in the Assembly on this issue. He also criticized BJP MPs and requested BJP state president N. Ramachander Rao to take up the issue with Prime Minister Modi and support Telangana’s cause.
