Operation Sindhoor: 80 Terrorists Killed in Major Strike

In a decisive retaliation to the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Indian Armed Forces launched a coordinated and high-precision strike named ‘Operation Sindoor’ in the early hours of Wednesday. The strikes targeted terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), eliminating more than 80 terrorists, according to senior security officials.

Nine Camps Targeted – JeM, LeT, HM Involved

The operation specifically targeted nine terrorist strongholds belonging to banned outfits — Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen. The offensive is seen as a direct response to the brutal Pahalgam attack that killed 26 innocent civilians.

Major Hits in Bahawalpur and Muridke

Key strikes were conducted on Bahawalpur, a JeM hub, and Muridke, home to LeT’s ideological and operational base — particularly the Masjid wa Markaz Taiba, often referred to as a "terror nursery." Approximately 25 to 30 terrorists were neutralized in each of these locations.

Terror Launch Pads, Training Facilities Destroyed

The strikes also decimated terror launch pads, training centers, and radicalization hubs. These facilities were reportedly operated by UN-designated terror groups JeM and LeT, used for pushing militants across the Line of Control (LoC).

Pakistan Condemns, Ceasefire Violations Follow

Pakistan condemned the strikes, calling them a "brazen act of war", and claimed that eight civilians, including a child, were killed. Following the strikes, heavy shelling and ceasefire violations were reported along the LoC and International Border (IB), resulting in three Indian civilian casualties. Indian forces retaliated effectively, and cross-border firing continues as per latest updates.
