Retired CS Shanti Kumari Appointed Vice-Chairperson of MCRHRD; Retired IAS and IPS Officers Given Key Roles in Telangana
The Telangana government has appointed several retired IAS and IPS officers to key positions, including retired CS Shanti Kumari as the Vice-Chairperson of the MCRHRD (Marriche Reddy Human Resource Development Institute). The government issued orders appointing her to this role on Wednesday, and she will also serve as the Director General (DG) of MCRHRD in an additional capacity. Shanti Kumari, who retired as the Chief Secretary (CS) of the state, has previously contributed significantly to Telangana’s governance.
In addition, retired IAS officer K.S. Srinivas Raju has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister's Office. Srinivas Raju had previously served as the EO of TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) and has long experience in administration. He will serve in his new role for the next two years.
The government has also appointed retired IPS officer V.B. Kamalasan Reddy as the Special Officer (OSD) in the State Intelligence Security Division. He will serve for two years in this role. Kamalasan Reddy has previously served as the Director-General of the State Drug Control Department and Excise Commissioner.
