Government of India Issues Critical Warning for Google Chrome Users

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has found major security issues in older versions of Google Chrome. These flaws could allow hackers to steal personal data or take control of your computer.
Who Is at Risk?
According to CERT-In:

Windows users using Chrome older than version 136.0.7103.114

macOS or Linux users using Chrome older than version 136.0.7103.113
These versions are vulnerable to cyber attacks.
Identified Bugs:
CERT-In has found two main bugs:

CVE-2025-4664 – A problem in Chrome’s browser loader. Hackers can trick users with harmful websites to steal data.

CVE-2025-4609 – A bug in the Chrome Mojo component that can allow hackers to access the user’s system.
