Heavy Rains in Telangana Disrupt Train Services – Cancellations, Diversions, and Helpline Numbers

Heavy rains across Telangana have badly affected railway services. Floodwater has entered railway tracks at several locations, forcing South Central Railway (SCR) to cancel, partially stop, or divert many trains for the safety of passengers. Officials announced these measures on Wednesday as waterlogging reached dangerous levels on the tracks.

According to SCR, train services between Kamareddy–Bikanur–Thalamadla and Akanapet–Medak sections have been completely stopped due to heavy flooding on the railway lines. As a result, important trains like Karimnagar–Kacheguda, Kacheguda–Nizamabad, Kacheguda–Medak, Medak–Kacheguda, Bodhan–Kacheguda, and Adilabad–Tirupati have been fully cancelled. The Nizamabad–Kacheguda service scheduled for Thursday has also been cancelled.

Officials further stated that Mahbubnagar–Kacheguda and Shadnagar–Kacheguda trains have been partially cancelled. More cancellations or diversions may be announced if the rains continue. For passenger convenience, SCR has released special helpline numbers at major stations including Kacheguda (9063318082), Nizamabad (970329671), Kamareddy (9281035664), and Secunderabad (040-27786170).
