Hyderabad, Sep 22: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced on Monday that the Telangana Rising Core Urban City Area will be developed into a global city, serving as a model for world-class infrastructure.

The CM instructed officials to give top priority to education, healthcare, road transport, sanitation, and public health, calling them the true measures of human living standards.

With lakhs of families migrating to Greater Hyderabad from districts and other states, he stressed that urban expansion must be supported with international-level infrastructure.

Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan presented 111 proposals under five major components for the urban city development plan.

The CM emphasised that beautification should also improve living standards of the poor and middle class, not just provide cosmetic changes.

Education
Schools under GHMC and municipalities will be classified into three categories: Nursery–Class 4, Classes 5–8, and Classes 9–12. Modern campuses will be built by merging under-resourced schools, with free meals, snacks, and government transport for students.

Healthcare & Sanitation
Special clinics for the poor will be established. The CM wants Hyderabad to be recognised globally as a “Clean City.” Strict action will be taken against negligence in garbage collection.

Infrastructure
No government office should operate from rented buildings. Solar power plants will be installed at all offices, schools, and colleges. Nalas, lakes, and tanks will be protected through a digital land database.

Traffic & Mobility
The CM directed officials to conduct a traffic study, introduce AI-based signal systems, adopt drone policing in congested areas, and build water harvesting wells at junctions to prevent waterlogging. Google will be roped in for traffic solutions.
