‘Kishkindapuri’ Movie Review – Horror Thriller With Weak Execution
Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas makes his debut in a horror thriller with ‘Kishkindapuri’. Despite the hype created through the trailer, the film received mixed reviews from audiences.
Story: Raghav (Bellamkonda) and Maithili (Anupama) run haunted house tours along with their friend Sudharshan. They take thrill-seekers to explore Kishkindapuri, a village housing the abandoned Suvarnamaya radio station closed since 1989. The visitors face terrifying situations, and Raghav must use the mythical Mirai weapon to save them from spirits.
Analysis: The story is novel but suffers from weak execution. Horror and thriller elements create some initial fear, but the climax fails to deliver. Many scenes feel repetitive to avid horror movie fans.
Performances:
- Bellamkonda – impressive; doesn’t miss his action and dance strengths.
- Anupama – simple, captivating performance.
- Sudharshan & Hyper Aadi – less noticeable in providing comedy or horror.
- Music – Sam CS’ background score enhances the horror factor.
- Editing – feels slow despite a 2-hour runtime.
Conclusion: The film has mixed elements in story, locations, graphics, and acting. It works as a moderate watch for horror fans.
Rating: 2.25/5
