Khairatabad Ganesh Immersion Schedule Announced
Hyderabad is gearing up for the grand immersion of the famous Khairatabad Maha Ganapathi idol, which lakhs of devotees eagerly await every year. Police have finalized a detailed plan to ensure smooth conduct of the event.
- The Shobha Yatra (procession) will begin at 6 AM on Saturday.
- Immersion must be completed by 1:30 PM.
- A massive security arrangement has been put in place to avoid any disturbances during the procession.
Idol Transportation Preparations
From Friday midnight, officials will start dismantling the shed around the idol. After midnight, the idol will be lifted onto a massive trolley and welding works will be carried out. These tasks will be completed by early morning, ensuring the idol is ready for the Shobha Yatra at 6 AM on Saturday.
Police Statement
Saifabad ACP Sanjay Kumar said:
“The Shobha Yatra will begin at 6 AM on Saturday, and under any circumstances, the immersion must be completed by 1:30 PM. Strong security measures are in place to ensure a smooth and safe procession.”
Last Chance for Devotees
Authorities have clearly announced that darshan (viewing) of the idol will be allowed only until 12 midnight today. After that, the immersion preparations will begin.
