EC Action: Election Commission Bans 25 Parties in Telugu States

EC Derecognizes 17 Parties in Andhra Pradesh, 8 in Telangana

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has cancelled the registration of the Lok Satta Party, founded by former IAS officer and ex-MLA Jayaprakash Narayan (JP), in Telangana. This decision is part of a nationwide cleanup drive against inactive political parties.

In the past two months, a total of 808 parties have been deregistered, including 17 from Andhra Pradesh and 8 from Telangana. Reasons cited include not contesting elections for years, failure to maintain proper office addresses, and lack of financial transaction details.

All India Azad Party, All India BC OBC Party, BC Bharat Desam Party, Bharat Labour Praja Party, Lok Satta Party, Mahajana Mandali Party, Navabharat National Party, Telangana Pragathi Samithi.

Parties Derecognized in Andhra Pradesh:
Bharatiya Chaitanya Party, Jai Samaikyandhra Party, Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samithi, All India Liberal Party, Bharat Praja Spondana Party, All India Manchi Party, Bharatiya Sadharma Sthapana Party, Backward Classes Women Farmers Party, YSR Bahujana Party, Great India Party, Jai Andhra Party, Poverty Eradication Party, Pedala Party, Prajapalan Party, Samaikya Telugurajyam Party, Rayalaseema Congress Party, Political Essential and Accurate Council of Experts.
