Donald Trump Claims He Stopped India-Pakistan War – Shocking Comments Again!

Donald Trump Claims He Stopped India-Pakistan War; Congress Criticizes Modi Government Over His Comments

Former US President Donald Trump has once again claimed credit for defusing tensions between India and Pakistan. Despite repeated denials from India, Trump maintains that he played a crucial role in calming the situation last month and that the ceasefire agreement was a result of his intervention. He also asserted that he prevented a nuclear war by threatening to halt trade between the two countries.

Speaking to reporters at the NATO summit held in The Hague, Netherlands, Trump discussed recent global military conflicts, including the Israel-Iran and Russia-Ukraine wars, but emphasized that resolving the India-Pakistan dispute was one of his major achievements. Trump said that through a few phone calls, he was able to stop the conflict. "I told them if you fight, we will not make any trade deals. Pakistan’s General Asim Munir impressed me a lot. Prime Minister Modi is a good friend and a great person. I convinced them. They wanted a trade deal. That’s why we stopped the nuclear war," Trump explained.

Last week, Trump had remarked that the leaders of India and Pakistan were “very smart” and had themselves decided not to continue the war, downplaying his role in the ceasefire. However, his recent comments appear to take full credit for ending the conflict.

Congress Criticizes Modi Government

The Congress party has strongly criticized the Modi government over Trump’s latest remarks, accusing the central government of failing to manage the situation effectively. Congress pointed out that this is the 18th time Trump has made such claims. Jairam Ramesh, Congress spokesperson, noted that since May 10, Trump has made similar statements 16 times and shared a video of Trump’s statement on social media. Another Congress leader, Pawan Khera, accused Prime Minister Modi of weakening India’s interests under pressure from Trump. “Just praise Modi a little, and he damages India’s interests. He gives a clean chit to China and succumbs to American threats,” Khera said.
