Covid-19 cases have started to rise again in Bengaluru, causing concern among health officials. Over the past 20 days, there has been a steady increase in cases, leading the Karnataka Health Department to warn people to follow Covid-19 safety rules.
Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao said that so far this year, 35 Covid-19 cases have been reported in Karnataka, with 32 cases from Bengaluru alone. Although the situation is not very serious yet, he stressed the importance of following safety measures.
The Health Minister advised pregnant women, children, and people with weak immune systems to wear masks and use hand sanitizer, especially in crowded places. He also suggested that anyone with severe breathing problems should get tested for Covid-19 for early treatment.
Recently, a nine-month-old baby in Bengaluru tested positive for Covid-19 and is currently being treated at Vani Vilas Hospital. Officials said the baby is stable without serious health issues.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah warned that Covid cases are rising in other countries like Singapore and Hong Kong. He urged the central government to take strong action and screen international travelers to prevent a surge in cases in India.
