Megastar Chiranjeevi and hit director Anil Ravipudi have teamed up for a grand family entertainer, tentatively referred to as Mega157. The film stars Nayanthara as the leading lady, with Catherine Tresa in another key role.
Shoot Halted, Rumors Around Title
The shoot, which was progressing at a brisk pace, was temporarily stalled due to the ongoing Tollywood strike. Meanwhile, rumors floated that the film’s title would be “Mana Siva Shankara Vara Prasad Garu” — a direct reference to Chiranjeevi’s birth name Konidela Siva Shankara Vara Prasad. However, director Anil Ravipudi has clarified that these reports are untrue and the final title is different.
At a recent event, Anil Ravipudi confirmed that the official title does not include the word Sankranthi either. Fans can now expect the title reveal on August 22, coinciding with Chiranjeevi’s 70th birthday.
Official Title & Glimpse Coming Soon
Reliable sources reveal that the movie’s title is indeed set as “Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu” with the festive tagline ‘Pandagaki Vasthunnaru’. While slightly lengthy, the title connects deeply with Chiranjeevi’s legacy and perfectly suits its Sankranthi 2026 release.
Adding to the excitement, the team is preparing a special glimpse that will release alongside the title. Interestingly, a senior star from Chiranjeevi’s league is rumored to lend his voice to introduce the Megastar’s character in the teaser, promising a delightful surprise for fans.
Production & Release
The film is jointly produced by Sahu Garapati (Shine Screens) and Sushmita Konidela (Gold Box Entertainment), with music composed by Bheems Ceciroleo. With Chiranjeevi’s other big project Vishwambhara eyeing a Summer 2026 release, the stage is set for Anil Ravipudi’s entertainer to dominate Sankranthi 2026.
What to Expect
Known for delivering festive blockbusters, Anil Ravipudi is crafting a wholesome entertainer filled with family emotions, comedy, and mass appeal. With Chiranjeevi in top form, fans can expect a festival vibe teaser on August 22 — a perfect birthday treat leading into Sankranthi.
