Chennai, Oct 17: The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has approved director S S Rajamouli's magnum opus, 'Baahubali - The Epic', for release with a U/A certificate. The film, which merges both parts of the iconic franchise, has a runtime of 3 hours and 44 minutes and is set to enthrall audiences once again.
The makers announced the certification on X, stating, “Certified U/A. 3 Hours 44 Minutes of Sheer Epicness. Jai Maahishmathi! #BaahubaliTheEpic #BaahubaliTheEpicOn31stOct.” Producer Shobu Yarlagadda praised Rajamouli and his team for meticulously handling post-production, emphasizing that no half measures were taken in creating this definitive version.
'Baahubali - The Epic' is being re-released to commemorate the franchise’s 10th anniversary, combining 'Baahubali: The Beginning' (2015) and 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' (2017) into a single cinematic experience. The original films set box office records, with Baahubali 2 grossing over ₹1,800 crores worldwide, becoming India’s highest-grossing film.
The franchise has also received critical acclaim, winning three National Awards for Best Stunt Choreography, Best Special Effects, and Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, along with the Saturn Award for Best International Film. Fans can relive the epic experience starting October 31, 2025.
