AP to Build 4,472 Village Clinics with ₹1,129 Crore – Minister Satya Kumar Yadav

₹1,129 Crore for Village Clinics Construction in Andhra Pradesh – Minister Satya Kumar Yadav

The Andhra Pradesh government has given top priority to public healthcare and approved the construction of 4,472 new village clinics across the state. The project will cost around ₹1,129 crore, and dedicated clinic buildings will be completed within a year, said Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav.

He also clarified that 80% of the construction cost will be funded by the Central Government. Additionally, the state has planned the construction of 1,379 new health buildings with ₹753 crore, using the 16th Finance Commission funds.

District-wise, the highest number of village clinics will be built in Srikakulam (284), followed by Nandyal (272), Eluru (263), Konaseema (242), Krishna (240), Alluri Sitarama Raju (239), Chittoor (229), Bapatla (211), Parvathipuram Manyam (205), Prakasam (203), Nellore (203), and Anakapalli (200).
In Rayalaseema, more than 100 new health buildings will be constructed in Tirupati, Kurnool, Annamayya, Anantapur, and Sri Sathya Sai districts.

Minister Satya Kumar Yadav stated that these clinics will strengthen rural medical services and ensure better healthcare access for lakhs of people.
