KTR Predicts KCR’s Return to Telangana and National Politics

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has expressed confidence that party chief K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) will regain political prominence in Telangana and play an important role in national politics. Speaking at a meeting with BRS workers from Amberpet at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad, KTR said the national political landscape could create opportunities for parties outside the Congress and BJP.

KTR recalled KCR’s earlier proposal for a political alternative independent of both national parties. He said the idea had not received sufficient attention when it was first introduced but claimed that political developments were now making its relevance clearer. He also criticised the BJP and Congress, accusing them of failing to address the country's political challenges effectively.

KTR Predicts KCR’s Return as Telangana Chief Minister

Turning to Telangana politics, KTR predicted that KCR would return as Chief Minister after another year of what he described as political drama under the leadership of Revanth Reddy. He alleged that Congress had secured power through misleading promises and propaganda and claimed that people were becoming dissatisfied with the government.

KTR also pointed to Congress's performance in Hyderabad during the previous Assembly elections, claiming that the party had failed to win a single Assembly constituency in the city. He said sections of the public who felt disappointed with the current administration were increasingly looking towards the BRS.

KTR Criticises Congress Government Over Kaleshwaram

KTR accused the Revanth Reddy-led government of failing to prepare adequately for the possible effects of El Niño, despite receiving advance warnings. He claimed that neighbouring and downstream states had taken precautionary steps to manage water resources, while Telangana had not acted sufficiently.

He also alleged that the state government deliberately avoided restarting the Kaleshwaram project's pumps to prevent KCR from receiving political credit. KTR further accused Congress leaders of damaging the Medigadda barrage and spreading misleading claims about its condition. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi's visit to Medigadda was intended to reinforce those claims.

These statements reflect KTR's allegations against the Congress government and were not independently established in the information provided.

KTR Alleges Congress and BJP Are Targeting KCR

KTR claimed that the Congress and BJP were working together in Telangana when it came to criticising KCR and the BRS leadership. Using a sarcastic comparison involving Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Union Minister Kishan Reddy, he questioned whether leaders from both parties were prioritising political attacks over Telangana's interests.

He also accused the BJP of being in a weaker position than at any point in the previous decade, adding that attempts to intimidate political leaders would not necessarily influence younger generations.

BRS Focuses on Local Body and Graduate MLC Elections

KTR challenged the Congress government to hold elections for Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies (MPTCs), Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies (ZPTCs) and municipal corporations. He expressed confidence in the BRS's performance in upcoming municipal corporation elections and questioned whether Congress leaders were prepared to face voters.

He also urged party workers to coordinate their efforts for the graduate MLC elections, beginning with voter registration. Criticising Congress's Youth Declaration, KTR alleged that students, unemployed youth and graduates had been let down by the ruling party. He predicted that graduates would express their dissatisfaction through their votes.
