Nikhil Reddy from Miryalaguda Secures 11th Rank in IFS Exam

Candidates from Telugu-speaking states have shown excellent results in the final list of the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2024, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Out of 143 candidates selected across India, more than ten are from Telugu states, highlighting their strong presence in top civil services.

Chada Nikhil Reddy from Miryalaguda, Nalgonda district, is the highest-ranked candidate from the Telugu states, securing 11th place nationally. The UPSC’s final results list includes several Telugu candidates with top ranks.

Along with Chada Nikhil Reddy (11th rank), other notable Telugu candidates are Yeduguri Aishwarya Reddy (13th), G. Prashanth (25th), Cheruku Avinash Reddy (40th), and Chintakayala Lavakumar (49th). Other successful candidates include Atla Tarun Teja (53rd), Alapati Gopinath (55th), K. Udaya Kumar (77th), and T.S. Shishira (87th), all achieving impressive ranks.

Nikhil Reddy is the son of Chada Srinivas Reddy and Sunanda, both government school teachers in Miryalaguda. He graduated in Computer Science Engineering from IIT Delhi in 2018. After working briefly in the software industry, he left his job to prepare for civil services.

Reflecting on his success, Nikhil said that his parents’ encouragement and support were crucial. Being selected for the Indian Forest Service has increased his confidence and strengthened his ambition to become an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, a goal he is determined to achieve.
